This is me! Kethry! :) Eventually, I may even put a pic up here so you can put a face to the name. Speaking of names, my real one is Jennifer. I'm 21 years old and I live in the beautiful state of Washington. Do you want to know anything more about me? Yes? Well, here's the general gist...
I am a part-time student at Tacoma Community College (at the moment). I do not fit the general profile for a college student. I do not care about a degree that much. I enjoy studying and I like the atmosphere. I've come to the conclusion that a degree does not mean much. It means "I am a persistent SOB and I stuck it out so I could have this spiffy piece of paper." I have more respect for someone who has an education than someone with a degree. I have found that those two things don't always go together. I'm not saying everyone is like that -I know a quite a few who aren't. I will probably get a degree eventually, but it is not a main priority.
I also have two jobs, one as an office clerk/all-around-do-whatever-person for a laboratory with the Environmental Protection Agency, and a second as a consultant with the Pampered Chef. The latter of the two is the most fun. :) For someone who managed to resist anything domestic for most of my life, I am finding that I have a real passion for cooking. It is something that my friends truly enjoy since I frequently show up on someone's doorstep with a smile on my face and free food in hand.
My life mostly is about work, school, and spending time with friends in my so-called spare time, but one other thing is very big as well. I am involoved in a Masonic youth organization called Job's Daughters. I joined when I was 11 and remained very involved as I grew up. I was Honored Queen twice and even had the honor of being Supreme Bethel Senior Princess in 1996-97. Since receiving my Majority, I have become a member of the council and I devote whatever time I can to my Bethel (Go Bethel 61!!). I only wish that was more time. I do not always get to go do the fun stuff with the girls anymore. Nevertheless, it remains a big part of my life and will always hold a special place in my heart.
